Itinerary
Day 1: Arriving in Tanzania and Pre-trek Briefing
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by our team and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. In the evening, there will be a pre-trek briefing where your guide will provide essential information about the climb. This is also an opportunity to ask any questions and make final preparations. Enjoy a delicious dinner and rest to ensure a good start to your adventure.Day 2: Hotel to Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut
After breakfast, you will drive from your hotel to the Momella Gate, the starting point of the Mount Meru trek. Upon arrival, complete the necessary registration formalities and meet your support team. Begin your ascent through the lush Montane forest, where you might encounter various wildlife, including colobus monkeys and diverse bird species. Reach Miriakamba Hut, your overnight accommodation, in the late afternoon. Rest, enjoy a warm meal, and prepare for the following day’s trek.- Elevation: 1500m/4921ft to 2500m/8202ft

Day 3: Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut
After an early breakfast, resume your climb towards the Saddle Hut. The trail takes you above the treeline, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding plains and mountains. Pass through the spectacular Maasai Alpine Moorland, known for its unique vegetation and vibrant wildflowers. Arrive at the Saddle Hut, situated between the Little Meru and Mount Meru peaks, in the afternoon. Take in the serene atmosphere, enjoy a nourishing meal, and rest for the challenging summit push ahead.- Elevation: From 2,514 meters (8,250 feet) to 3,570 meters (11,712 feet)

Day 4: Saddle Hut to Summit to Miriakamba Hut to Momella Gate
The final day begins with an early wake-up call around midnight. After a light breakfast and equipped with headlamps, start the steep ascent to the summit of Mount Meru. The trail is challenging but rewarding, leading you through rocky terrain and scree slopes. Reach the summit, named Socialist Peak, just in time to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the African plains. Take a moment to celebrate your achievement and capture memorable photos before descending to Miriakamba Hut. Have lunch and continue the descent to Momella Gate, where you will receive your summit certificates. From Momella Gate, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Arusha.- Elevation: 3500m/11483ft to 4562m/14967ft down to 1500m/4921ft
