6 Days Marangu Route

Overview

6 Days Marangu route is the easiest route to trek up mount Kilimanjaro’s summit – KIBO. The Marangu route is the only route with comfortable beds at each camp. The Marangu route is well-developed since the route offers accommodation in huts and the climb is constant and moderate. The summit approach is sightly difficult compared to other Kilimanjaro trekking routes as it needs commitment. The accommodation on marangu route is in simple mountain huts, which might be an advantage compared to the camping routes.

I booked a 7 days Machame route ascent to Mt. Kilimanjaro with Serengeti Joy Tours. Everything was fine. Madam Angelica was very responsive on Whatsapp, all went smoothly according to the agreement. My guide, Henry, was perfect as well as all the crew. Food was perfect, there was enough of the water, tent was comfortable, all the team tried hard to make my trip comfortable.

This experience with Serengeti Joy Tours was nothing short of spectacular. Our team was made up of Frank(y) (primary guide), Francis (secondary guide), Shedrack (our chef, Moses (our waiter), and 10 solid porters who worked hard and were delightful to encounter. Frank was an awesome lead guide, always laughing and bringing humor into the mix, even when some times were tough (altitude sickness). He was adaptable and knew how to manage every situation. Both Franky and Francis were very

Angelica was a pleasure to work with from the beginning. She was attentive to our needs, highly flexible and easy to communicate with. The trip was very well planned especially given our time constraints. The 7 day lemosho hike was a success, reaching Uhuru Peak.

This year I decided to celebrate my birthday by taking a challenge and that was to climb Mt Kilimanjaro. The idea came 6 months back & accordingly I prepared myself. I made my plan in such a way so that I reached the summit on 21st June 2017 (my birthday).
