7 Days Lemosho Route

Overview

7 Days Lemosho Route – the Lemosho route is less known among the routes up Mount Kilimanjaro, the route begins on the western side of Kilimanjaro Mountain. The first 2 days of the trek cross the thick rainforest belt which then changes into heath and moorland with many ferns and ericas along the way as you trek up. The Lemosho route has small trail which sometimes has very steep passageways and goes through various landscapes. On the third day of your 7 days Lemosho route, the Lemosho trail joins the Machame route. Compared to the Marangu and the Rongai route, the Lemosho route is more challenging and slightly moderate compared to Machame route.

This method of climbing high but sleeping low allows your body to acclimatize to the differing altitudes and gives you a good idea on how your body reacts to changes in Altitude. After you have pulled yourself around the Kissing Rock you will make your way along the mountain ridge and through the Karanga Valley.
