Tour overview

Lake Duluti is a small, tranquil crater lake surrounded by forest, just outside Arusha near the town of Tengeru. It is an easy and refreshing escape from the city, and a lovely way to fill a free morning or afternoon before or after a safari or climb.

You start on the water, paddling a canoe across the calm lake with a local guide, watching for African fish eagles, kingfishers, cormorants and herons. Back on shore, a forest trail loops around the lake under tall trees, where monkeys and forest birds are often seen. On clear days, Mount Meru rises behind the lake.

No previous paddling experience is needed, making this a great choice for families, couples and travelers who want a gentle, nature-focused outing.
