Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – drive to Moshi.
You will be met on time of your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport by our transferring drive who will you will welcome and escort you to the waiting vehicle then drive to Key’s Hotel in Moshi for the rest of the day your trek will start the next day morning. The rest of the day will be spent at the pool relaxing at the hotel or explore the town of Moshi.
Your mountain guide will meet you in the evening for briefing on the next morning trek of your 21 Days Kilimanjaro, Serengeti safari and Zanzibar.

Day 2: Trekking Machame Gate 1,790 meter to Machame Camp 3,010 meter.
After breakfast you will be picked up at the Keys Hotel at 09:30 am and drive to Machame entrance gate of mount Kilimanjaro National Park located about an hour’s drive away.
At the gate your guide will be busy with the registration forms and porters will be weighing the luggage, you can walk around the entrance gate seeing monkeys or watch the mountain team preparing for the climb and once this is all done, your Kilimanjaro trekking adventure will start.
In no time you will be deep within the wonderful mountain rainforest with very old trees, ancient ferns, liana, lichen and moss that carpets the ground and drapes from the trees. You will hear and with a little luck, even spot the beautiful black and white colobus monkeys in the treetops.
After a walk of 5 to 6 hours, you will reach the day’s destination – the Machame Camp which is located just above the tree line at 3,010 meter. At the camp, at the base of Mt Kilimanjaro, you will have your first mountain hot dinner followed by an overnight stay in tents.

Day 3: Trekking Machame Camp 3,010 meter to Shira Camp 3,845 meter.
After an early morning breakfast, you will start your second day trekking, the path steepens and the landscape changes into moor- and heath land and the open landscape allows you to see the exciting mountain range.
The second day’s destination is shorter than the previous day and you will arrive at the Shira Camp by mid-afternoon. The camp has an incredible view of the mountain and during sunset, the sun lights the rock face and glacier of Kibo.

Day 4: Trekking Shira Camp 3,845 meter to Lava Tower 4,640 meter to Barranco Camp 3,960 meter.
Today you will climb up about 800 meter but you will be camping at an elevation only slightly higher than the previous night. This will allow your body to acclimatise better since you will have relatively altitude.
The hike begins with a long ascent above the Shira Plateau in the direction of the Lava Tower 4,640 meter.
The vegetation becomes sparser as the landscape changes to an afro-alpine desert. The route passes through the wide Barranco Valley with its lobelia and giant senecio plants. After a 6 to 7 hours walk, you will arrive at the most stunning camp on the mountain – the Barranco Camp.

- Elevation: 3,845 meters (12,615 feet) to 4,640 meters (15,223 feet) to 3,960 meters (12,992 feet)
- Difficulty: Moderate to high difficulty
- Hiking/Climbing Time: 6-7 hours

Day 5: Trekking Barranco Camp 3,960 meter to Karanga Camp 4,035 meter.
Today the Barranco Wall stands before you to conquer. Some stages will require you to use your hands for a better grip, but no actual climbing is necessary and your guide will be with you every step of the way to provide a helping hand. The route with its numerous ascents and descents allow you a chance for further acclimatization, before reaching the mountain ridge.
Walking along the ridge you can take in the beautiful landscape with its stunning contrasts of desert and vegetation, before finally reaching the cloudy Karanga Camp.
Your trek will take between 3 to 4 hours, leaving more than enough time to rest and play a game of rummy.

Day 6: Trekking Karanga Camp 4,035 meter to Barafu Camp 4,640 meter.
Awakening to the sunlight dancing off the Kibo Summit, you will enjoy an energetic breakfast before setting out to today’s destination – the Barafu Camp. Most of the day will be spent walking through very dry deserted terrain, with Kibo ever present on your left side. After 3-4 hours you will reach Barafu Camp, where you will have an early dinner and overnight as the highlight of your trip is only a few short hours away…

- Elevation: 4,035 meters (13,268 feet) to 4,640 meters (15,223 feet)
- Difficulty: Challenging
- Hiking/Climbing Time: 3 – 4 hours
- Accommodation: Barafu camp.
- Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 7: Trekking Barafu Camp 4,640 meter to Uhuru Peak 5,895 meter to Mweka Camp 3,080 meter.
At around midnight you will be awoken by your guide with a warm cup of tea and biscuits to get you ready for your final ascent. The moon and your headlamps will be your only source of light as you make your way up to Stella Point, reaching the crater rim in about 5 – 7 hours.
Another 1 – 2 hours will take you to Uhuru Peak 5,895 meter, where you can enjoy the sun rising over the African landscape, casting a pink hue over the snowy peak and making the glaciers sparkle like diamonds around you. After capturing this incredible view and achievement on film, you will start your descent along the same route back to Barafu Camp, where your team awaits you with some snacks and refreshments. Rested and relaxed you will make your way to Mweka Camp for your last night on the highest mountain on African continent.

- Habitat: Alpine Desert, Glaciers Stone scree and ice-capped summit
- Elevation: 4,640 meters (15,223 feet) at Barafu Camp, 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) at Uhuru Peak, and 3,080 meters (10,070 feet) at Mweka Camp
- Difficulty: Extremely difficult due to high altitude, steep and rocky terrain.
- Hiking/Climbing Time: 8-10 hours to reach Uhuru Peak from Barafu Camp, and another 5-6 hours to descend to Mweka Camp.

Day 8: Trekking Mweka Camp 3,080 meter to Mweka Gate 1,630 meter to Moshi.
A delicious breakfast is followed by a traditional farewell ceremony from your mountain crew, before you start your final stretch down the mountain. You will once more trek through the rainforest, giving you another opportunity to spot the cheeky colobus monkeys, finally reaching the Mweka gate in about 2 – 3 hours.
You will be met at the gate and taken back to Key’s Hotel for a long shower and relaxed day by the pool. The rest of the day is for you to enjoy at leisure and giving yourself a pat on the back for conquering the famous Kilimanjaro.

Day 9: Departure from Moshi to Kilimanjaro Airport.
After breakfast, you will be transferred on time to Kilimanjaro Airport or alternatively you can extend your trip in Tanzania and go on safari or Zanzibar.

Day 10: Serengeti National Park.
Depart after breakfast and drive to Serengeti national park via Ngorongoro with some stops on the way at interesting points to take pictures and experience Tanzania at it best.
The drives from Tarangire to Serengeti national park takes 5 hours, you will take lunch boxes with you to allow good time for afternoon animal sightings in the Serengeti.

Day 11: Full day in Serengeti National park.
On day eleven of your 21 Days Kilimanjaro Serengeti safari Zanzibar you will leave the lodge before sunrise and start your game drives with picnic breakfast and lunch.
You will spend the full day from 6 am to 6 pm observing animals in different time and locations in the central Serengeti, you will expect to see huge herds of migrating animals, prides of lions, cheetah, leopard, elephant, giraffe, buffaloes and many species of birds and trees.

Day 12: Full day in southern Serengeti National park.
On day twelve of your 21 Days Kilimanjaro Serengeti safari Zanzibar you will a full day animal sightings, this will be a picture day where you will drive around the Serengeti in search for wildlife. Depending on the time of the year this 8 Days calving season safari will be located in southern Serengeti where you will see migration delivering babies. This itinerary serves as guidelines only and the accommodation will be booked according to animal movement and locations.

Day 13: Another full day in southern Serengeti National park.
Start the day after breakfast for animal sightings in Ndutu plains – southern Serengeti for witnessing the calving. The southern part of Serengeti is covered by the short grasslands which attracts herbivores of many types making the visibility slightly easy compared to open grassland. You can expect to crocodiles preying on wildebeest.

Day 14: Morning in Serengeti National park. Afternoon drive to Ngorongoro.
Day 14 of your 21 Days Kilimanjaro Serengeti safari Zanzibar will start with an early breakfast at your lodge or camp then pack your things before you leave the lodge/camp for morning animal sightings.
In the afternoon you will sit for your picnic lunch then continue with afternoon animal sightings as you drive to Ngorongoro crater rim for overnight.

Day 15: Full day Ngorongoro Crater.
Day 15 of your 21 Days Kilimanjaro Serengeti safari Zanzibar will start with an early breakfast at your lodge or camp then pack your things before you leave the lodge or camp for morning animal sightings inside the crater.
Ngorongoro crate is the world’s unbroken Caldera where thousands of animals live in, if lucky, you will see big five animals.
In the afternoon you will sit for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool then continue with afternoon animal sightings until when you will retire for lodge.

Day 16: Lake Manyara National park – Arusha.
This 21 Days Kilimanjaro Serengeti safari Zanzibar will today end in Lake Manyara for morning animal sightings with option for cultural visit in the nearby village of Mto Wa Mbu. Lake Manyara national park is found in the Great Rift Valley and the park supports the green forest which is watered by underground water streams from the Ngorongoro highlands.
In Lake Manyara you will expect to see tree climbing lions which the pack is known for, you will also see flamingoes, hot springs and many animals and bird species. Late in the afternoon drive 2 hours to Arusha with optional stops at the city or shops to buy souvenirs.

Day 17: Arusha to Zanzibar.
Drive after breakfast to Arusha airport for the flight from Arusha to Zanzibar. Arrive at Zanzibar airport and transfer to Serena Inn.
